Transportation
Students attending the Academy of Information Technology and Engineering have several bus transportation options depending on where they live and their after-school activities. Transportation is provided by SPS for students living more than 2 miles from AITE. Specific pickup/drop-off stops and bus numbers are assigned through the SPS PowerSchool parent portal. Because AITE is a interdistrict magnet high school, bus transportation is coordinated is also available for accepted students living outside of Stamford.
For Stamford based students needing transportation to their districted Stamford school for athletic participation there are two buses that leave AITE at regular dismissal time of 2:05 and have stops at Stamford High School and Westhill High School respectively with the first stop at the athletic facilities (arriving at approximately 2:20pm). Coaches are aware and understand that these students may be arriving late to practice and this will not have a negative impact on the student athlete.
For students districted outside of Stamford there are a variety of buses and transportation options to the train station for students to use, to get back to their sending districts for athletics. These leave at the regular dismissal time of 2:05.
