Year Coursework
9th Grade

AITE Exploratory (EXP)

Students explore Biomedical, Engineering, Computer Science, and Digital Media before choosing a pathway. They gain insight into career opportunities and build a strong foundation to make informed decisions about their future studies and careers.

PLTW Computer Science Essentials (CSE)

Students develop skills through hands-on projects, including mobile app development, self-driving vehicle simulations, and coding with Python. They transition from block-based to text-based programming while exploring concepts such as algorithms, conditionals, loops, and abstraction.

10th Grade PLTW Computer Science Principles (CSP)
Aligned with the AP Computer Science Principles framework, this course introduces
students to key areas of computing, including data analysis, cybersecurity, internet
structures, and creative coding. Students build real-world projects and develop a
strong understanding of how computing impacts society.
11th Grade PLTW Computer Science A (CSA)
Students apply advanced programming techniques using Java in preparation for the AP Computer Science A exam.
12th Grade PLTW Capstone
Students engage in an open-ended research experience in the PLTW Capstone course, a culminating program for those completing PLTW's high school offerings. They collaborate in teams, designing and developing original solutions to well-defined and justified real-world problems.
